On March 4, 2010 Max was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This is a day that will forever change our lives. Max has brought so much joy and fun into our lives and the lives of all who he comes in contact with. His strength over the last few days is proof to us that he is in the battle to win. What a great example he is to us. We hope in this blog to be able to keep all our family and friends updated on his progress and to be able to use this as a place for us all to be strengthened by this experience. We have faith that our Heavenly Father will be with us and provide us with what is needed to get through it.

Max posing with his buddy Irish as we left the hospital. While Irish wasn't our regular nurse, he was the first nurse to come in contact with Max. He was so great to play with him while we talked to the doctors our first night. We are grateful that Irish was there to help make our Max feel comfortable.

Max was patrolling the hallways ensuring that no other kids were breaking the law. No citations were issued.
Surfin USA
The nurses made a little board to keep his wrist from bending and causing him pain in his IV. He decided it was a surfboard and matched the one on his shirt. He kept putting his foot up to his hand pretending to be surfing. Looks like we may be taking a trip to the beach sometime in the future.
